Lee Wade
A graduate in Art and Design, I am an up and coming ceramicist from Halifax, West Yorkshire and I am now working for myself. I specialise in unique, abstract work, based around the human form.
Simplicity is the key to my work; the visual awareness of simple lines and shapes echo or emphasise contours of the human form. The variations in this work allow many visual interpretations to be made by the viewer. All pieces are accentuated with stunning use of glazes, creating tactile sensual forms which attract attention and promote discussion. This artwork stands alone like no other, alive with colour, movement and individuality.
Recently I was 1 of 70 newcommers at the British Craft Trade fair, where there were 454 artists on show. The fair attracted hundreds of tradesmen over the few days and I received a lot of positive feedback for my art and also I got a lot of interest from galleries from around the country. One of the main interests came from the buyers of interior design firms.
Feel free to browse around my gallery, if you would like to buy any of the designs, please use the contact me page for further information.
